Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Policies are intended to ensure lessons run smoothly and fairly for both students and tutor. Please read them carefully before booking or purchasing lessons.
Lesson Duration
Trial lessons are 25 minutes in length. Standard lessons are 50 minutes in length.
Lessons begin and end at the scheduled times.
Payment Policy
Payments are due monthly and must be received on the 1st day of each month. Lessons may be suspended until payment has been received.
I accept payments via MB Way, PayPal, and Squarespace Payments.
Lesson prices may change from time to time. Existing students will be given reasonable notice before any price changes take effect. Any exceptions to price changes will be considered on a case-by-case basis at my sole discretion.
If a payment is declined, reversed, or subject to a chargeback, any outstanding balance must be paid before further lessons are provided.
For information regarding refunds, please see the Refund Policy.
Cancellation Policy
To help maintain an organised schedule, lessons cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable, cannot be rescheduled, and will be charged in full.
An exception may be made in the event of a genuine emergency. In such cases, whether a lesson is rescheduled or the cancellation fee is waived is at my sole discretion.
Tutor Cancellations
If I need to cancel a lesson, I will provide as much notice as possible and offer a suitable alternative lesson time at no additional cost.
Refund Policy
Monthly lesson payments are non-refundable.
If, due to scheduling constraints on either side, not all lessons can be completed within the month, any unused lessons may be carried over to the following month by mutual agreement.
Late Arrival & No-Show Policy
If you arrive late for your lesson, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled end time to avoid affecting other students.
If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the lesson may be treated as a no-show and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
If you do not attend your lesson and have not provided notice, the lesson will be considered a no-show, and the lesson will be considered used.
If I am late to a lesson, I will either extend the lesson by the amount of time lost or arrange an alternative time to make up the missed time.
Technical Issues Policy
Lessons are conducted online via Google Meet.
Students are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and a suitable device before each lesson.
If technical issues on the student's side prevent the lesson from taking place or significantly disrupt it, the lesson will normally continue for the remaining scheduled time and will end at the original finish time.
If technical issues occur on my side and prevent the lesson from taking place or significantly disrupt it, I will reschedule the lesson or make up any lost time at no additional cost.
If technical issues affect either party, I will make every reasonable effort to reach a fair solution based on the circumstances.
Code of Conduct
To ensure a positive and productive learning environment, all lessons should be conducted in a respectful and professional manner.
Students are expected to:
Treat the tutor with courtesy and respect.
Communicate politely and appropriately.
Attend lessons ready to participate.
Refrain from disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour.
I reserve the right to end a lesson immediately or discontinue tutoring services if a student's behaviour is considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate. In such cases, refunds or rescheduled lessons will not normally be provided.
Lessons
Lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. While I will make every effort to support your progress, results depend on factors including attendance, participation, and independent practice. As such, specific outcomes or levels of improvement cannot be guaranteed.
Acceptance of Terms
By booking lessons or making payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Policies.
